“I kissed the rain,” my daughter said
As raindrops glistened on her head
The beads of water on her face
That shone with such delighted grace
~~
“I kissed the rain”, she told me then
And though I’ve now forgotten when
My young child said this precious gem
Those words, I still remember them:
“I kissed the rain.”
So beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. Moms have such wonderful memories. ☺☺☺
Thank you!
☺☺
So simple. So beautiful. I can picture the moment.
The innocence of a beautiful young child – wonderful moment Cynthia!
I remember this beautiful post, Cynthia, and I love it just as much now as I did then. Those are precious, golden words from your daughter. 🙂
So sweet with the innocence of the very young.
Beautiful 🙂
This is beautiful, Cynthia xxxx
I would remember those words too. Magical.
The precious things our children say… We moms never forget. I love this – the idea of kissing the rain!
Quelle jolie expression. Today, i kissed the rain 🙂
I love the preserved words and I love what you did with them.
I too remember this post from last year. Your daughter’s words are so sweet and your poetry is the beautiful frame to keep them in.
The sweet innocence of children. Ah I miss those days 🙂
Just beautiful… ❤
