A Good Home

Woman Down

Sorry friends.

I got into some trouble.

A bad PTSD episode was triggered by a psychiatric assessment where I did my best to be positive and not allow myself to be triggered. Yea, right.

Despite the fact the doctor was pleasant and helpful I was obviously kidding myself. Bizarre days and nights followed.

Things got worse on Sunday morning. I stood up and pain shocked me. I lost consciousness, fell and broke the ankle of my good leg.  So now I have two legs that are injured.

Thank God for my loving husband, daughters and sons in law. They have been taking good care of me.

I miss reading your posts but even writing this is major for me. Please take care of yourselves and pray for my husband, Hamlin. Poor guy.

**Update**
After a second trip to another emergency room (as suggested by a kind Doctor who made a house visit to see me),  it was discovered that my original diagnosis was inaccurate. To make matters worse, the original hospital sent me home with the wrong cast. The cast they gave me did not provide the appropriate support, it was only causing me more pain.

I’d like to thank the kind folks at Bowmanville Hospital emergency room. They made it a priority to make me feel comfortable and they gave me the right cast. I’m hopeful that the pain will begin to subside.

Thank you all for all your love and support. I’m so grateful.

Cynthia

  22. So sorry to hear Cynthia! You must feel like you’re being knocked down constantly. Hush. It makes me think of this verse: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed……so then, death is at work in us, but LIFE is at work in You.” 2 Corinthians 4:8.
I pray somewhere in the midst of all this, you seek God’s presence; and He continue to surround you with love; strength and resources to be healthy again.

  23. Oh my… I cannot imagine the agony you must have been in both physically and mentally. I do hope you are recovering well by now, Cynthia. You were doing so well… I will be sending positive thoughts your way. Thank God you have such a loving and understanding family around you.
