A beautiful tribute to, lament for, and upholding of the light that Sue Vincent shone across the world.
There are times when a poet must make a stand and say, “This has happened without my cognisance and I will not accept it!” Today has not been the best of days. Today I got a note from a patron. Common enough, especially from her, as she was always quick to praise, swift to encourage. But today the note had a bitter flavour. She was sitting awaiting death. A week? Longer?
And what can a poet do? A poet can protest, a poet can stand tall and say firmly that this will not do. A poet can bang the table with his wine glass obvious of the fact it has shattered and the pieces lie glistening but incoherent, shards of dreams never now to be dreamt.

Sue was definitely a shining light. She will be missed.
Very, very sorry!
I did not know of Sue Vincent until your post, Cynthia. I looked up her blog. She was an amazing person. May she rest in peace, light, and love.
Yes. Sad. She is Sue.
Thank you so much Cynthia for sharing Tallis’ beautiful tribute to Sue. It’s always shocking to learn of a departure by one of our fellow writers or bloggers. Sue will be sorely missed! ❤
Such a loss of a beautiful spirit. But Sue would say she’s not lost. She is still around us all.
This has brought tears to my eyes, at the same time a feeling of helplessness but then sometimes when we are able to have just a feeling for someone many miles away from us and not known to us so deeply – I think it’s a reflection of the humanity still alive within our veins. Your thoughts for her is a strong force in the very being of the universe, that has been created and shall live forever.
